We had a very
successful Hummer/Bird Celebration in September, 2007, and are
busy planning for a special
20th Anniversary Hummer/Bird
Celebration September 11-14, 2008. We hope you plan to join us
this year.
Our newly
expanded Hummer/Bird Malls will include a second room filled with
hummingbird, bird and other nature related items for sale. Check
this website for the new layouts.
Our speaker
programs will be in the auditorium and in a new larger area
better designed for that purpose. Birding field trips will be
offered daily to different birding hotspots, and other surprises
are in store for this year’s 20th Anniversary event. Check this
website for updates on the latest news periodically.

This is a ruby throated
hummingbird that is not quite an albino. The color is
considered leucistic (almost white). This bird was seen
and banded in Rockport, Texas in September, 2006. |
This baby hummingbird has
been rehabilitated and is being released. |
